On August 8th, Shabbat and Tu B’Av fall on the same day, giving our OPT community a beautiful opportunity to gather to find joy in the love among us.

Tu B'Av is a joyful Jewish holiday, a celebration of connection and new beginnings, with both ancient roots and modern resonance. Starting in the Second Temple as a day of matchmaking and festivity, today, Jews around the world celebrate it as a holiday of love. 

This year at Oak Park Temple, we’re marking the occasion with a special Tu B’Av blessing during Shabbat services. We’d especially love to invite couples who were married by OPT clergy to join us for this moment of reconnection and joy, but everyone is welcome to come and celebrate! If you were married by OPT clergy, please let us know by registering. We’d love to include you in the blessing!
