Prospective Members

Everyone is welcome to join the Oak Park Temple community regardless of their financial means. Unlike many synagogues, we do not have a fixed dues requirement. Our Jewish community depends on the generosity of members so we can uphold our commitment as a welcoming, inclusive congregation. 

Our ability to maintain our Oak Park Temple home requires an average of $3,600 per household, plus $200 for the Building Fund, annually. This means that some pay more to make up for those unable to give at that level.  

Our pledge structure is an integral part of our identity and enables our Jewish community to thrive. Our foundation depends on members looking out for one another and making an annual financial contribution that best reflects the ongoing needs of the community and their own ability to pay.
