10:30 AM - 11:30 AMRenewal in the Days Between with Brad Kolar
Are you looking to increase meaning and connection during the High Holidays? Join us to explore Ten Days a new book by OPT member Brad Kolar. Ten Days is a simple companion to help you reflect during the Days of Awe.
Whether you’re deeply engaged in Jewish practice or simply searching for new meaning during the High Holidays, this program and the book offer a gentle yet powerful path to reconnect with your best self.
During our time together, we will:
•Read a few poems from the book
•Discuss some of the questions it raises about repentance, our lives, and how we can live with more intention
•Share insights on reflection and renewal
Brad Kolar has been an OPT member for 6 years. Growing up, he always felt a strong connection to his Jewish identity. His faith deepened in his early 20s. Rabbi Joseph Telushkin’s book Jewish Literacy, a gift from his aunt, sparked that growth. As he read, Brad discovered explanations for many beliefs and feelings he had long held but could not recall being explicitly taught. He realized that Judaism was deeply rooted in his soul. This set him on a journey and commitment to learn, grow, and live more intentionally as a Jew.
For Brad, connection has always come from creation. Listening to and reading other people's ideas provides a foundation. Shaping those ideas into your own words and insights is where the true magic lies. Writing has always been Brad’s favorite form of expression. Ten Days merges his love for Judaism with his love for the written word.
Outside of his spiritual and creative pursuits, Brad is an executive consultant and founder of Avail Advisors. He works with leaders to improve decision-making by blending data, communication, and strategic insight.
