Meet in the Deer Grove West parking lot, entrance on Dundee Rd., north side, just east of Northwest Highway. Be sure to specify Deer Grove WEST on GPS.

Deer Grove is Cook County's first forest preserve, and features nearly 2,000 acres of rolling upland forest, wooded ravines, wetlands, and prairie. It's been carefully restored and stewarded for decades, and is rated among the highest quality natural areas in the state. 

We'll walk a great 3 1/2- to 4-mile loop that goes into the center of the preserve, including some hills. Option to cut off for a shorter loop.
