Becoming Jewish
An Oak Park Temple Conversion Cohort
For wherever you go, I shall go, and wherever you lodge, I shall lodge.
Your people shall be my people and your God my God.
Every member of our community is on a Jewish journey. Some of those journeys began at birth, and others started later in life. These are journeys of being Jews, accompanying Jews, or—sometimes—becoming Jews.
Oak Park Temple is convening folks in our community who are seriously considering becoming Jewish through conversion. These monthly gatherings are designed to build community, foster reflection, and continue learning in service of conversion to Judaism.
Most gatherings will take place before Shabbat morning services, and participants will be strongly encouraged to stay for services as well.
Schedule:
* All Saturday gatherings begin at 8:30 am
Jan. 14
Feb. 25
Mar. 11

May 6
June 9 (Friday night service then dinner afterward)
