Tashlich at Humboldt Park
Tuesday, September 23, 2025 • 1 Tishrei 5786
5:00 PM - 6:00 PMShanah Tovah - Happy New Year!
Let's start 5786 by throwing away the mistakes of the year gone by. Tashlich is the Jewish custom of symbolically casting away our sins by tossing crumbs into a body of water.
On the evening of Rosh Hashanah Day, join Jews (and those who love them) from up and down the Blue Line to mark the holiday with an old custom in a new way.
We'll share an outdoor meal, featuring Bergstein's Deli's brisket sliders.
Bring your friends, and meet neighbors and community members.
And join Oak Park Temple in a meaningful reflection on the year that's on and the year we hope to build.
We'll bring the bread crumbs; you bring resolutions for a sweet new year.
Park at Boathouse Cafe parking lot (1301 N. Humboldt Dr).
