Join author Judy Lev, as she presents her newly released book, Bethlehem Road: Stories of Immigration and Exile. This powerful collection of twelve short stories explores the struggles and hopes of immigrants seeking meaning and belonging along Jerusalem’s bustling Bethlehem Road in the late 20th century. Through vivid storytelling and deeply human characters, the book illuminates universal themes of identity, displacement, and resilience.
Come hear directly from the author about the inspirations behind the stories, their research and writing process, and the complex tapestry of cultures and histories that shape the immigrant experience in Israel. A Q&A and book signing will follow.

Since 1967, Judy Lev has lived, written, and created in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Haifa, and moshav Beit Zayit. A longtime columnist for The Jerusalem Post and The Cleveland Jewish News (1984–2004), her writing has ranged from reflections on Israeli life to deeply personal essays. Over the years, Lev has expanded into fiction, taught creative writing, and mentored Anglo-Israeli writers. She is the mother of three and continues to share her voice with honesty, grit, and passion.
