March 9 at 6:00 pm
MingHin Naperville (1633 N Naper Blvd.)
Join Temple friends for a delicious Chinese dinner, including a wide sampling of dim sum, and be ready to go "behind the kitchen curtain" to learn about the meaning behind the food. Susan Blumberg-Kason, OPT member and author of the memoir Good Chinese Wife, will share about her experiences in Hong Kong and insights into Chinese culture. We will also discuss the history of Jews in Shanghai, an important but sometimes overlooked part of Jewish history.
Subsidized cost is $8/person OR $18/family. (In Chinese culture, 8 represents good luck; in Jewish culture, 18 represents long life.)
Space is limited. RSVP by February 28 and pay online here. Questions - contact Rabbi Kirzane at rabbikirzane@oakparktemple.
