WORKSHOPS FOR SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN GRADES K-4 WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Oak Park Temple’s Religious School provides High Holy Day junior congregation and workshop programs for children who are entering kindergarten through 4th grade.
SCHEDULE
The workshops begin at 10:00 am on both Rosh Hashanah, Monday, September 10th and Yom Kippur, Wednesday, September 19th. Please arrive early to settle your children. Both programs end with the conclusion of the adult morning services, around 12:30 pm. Students will participate in age-appropriate High Holy Days worship, and will also come to the sanctuary to hear the Shofar service on Rosh Hashanah morning.
WORKSHOP LEADERS
Temple Educator Robin Arbetman and two adult teachers organize the workshops. OPTY (our high school youth group) members organize volunteers to help with the workshops.
• High school age students interested in helping with this program should contact one of the OPTY board members.
• Note: there are a limited number of spots available.
• Teens who have not reserved a volunteer spot prior to September 5th are asked not to join the workshops on the holiday.
FOOD
• We will provide drinks and light snacks. If you want your children to eat lunch before pick up, please send a bag lunch.
• Any food you provide must be nut-free.
