BOOK CLUB

We will be reading The Plot Against America by Phillip Roth. This book imagines an alternative reality where Charles A. Lindbergh defeats Franklin Roosevelt in the 1940 presidential election.  Fear invades every Jewish household in America since Lindbergh had not only publicly blamed the Jews for selfishly pushing America toward a pointless war with Nazi Germany, but upon taking office he negotiates a cordial “understanding” with Adolf Hitler.  This is a total page-turner, but get started because it is a long book…  418 pages!
