Judy Wexler
Advocacy & Social Justice Work: Women's Rights are Human Rights--Come hear about WRJ's advocacy work and social justice priorities, and how we can bring this important work home to our sisterhoods and women's groups.
Guest speaker, Judy Wexler is a member of the North American Board of Women of Reform Judaism, and she is a co-chair of WRJ’s May 2019 Social Justice Conference. Judy also sits on the Commission on Social Action of Reform Judaism, as a WRJ representative. In addition, Judy is currently Recording Secretary of WRJ Midwest District.
Judy is a past synagogue president of North Shore Congregation Israel in Glencoe, Illinois, where she has been a member for 20 years, along with her husband, Bruce Menkes, and her two daughters, Lena and Margo. Judy is also a past co-president of her sisterhood, Women of North Shore Congregation Israel, where she has held a number of other board positions. Judy is a former practicing attorney, and now teaches 8th grade Language Arts.
