Selichot: Study, Reflection, and Song
Saturday, Sept. 21
8:00 pm - Study
9:30 pm - Dessert reception
10:00 pm - Service

Join Rabbi Weiss, Rabbi Kirzane, Cantor Green, and our exceptional choir for a moving Selichot experience.  Observed the Saturday night a week before Rosh Hashanah, Selichot inaugurates the High Holiday season as we prepare our minds and spirits for teshuvah (repentance).

Our study program at 8:00 will challenge and inspire, focusing our attention on eternal themes of life and death, of forgiveness and repentance.  Following a dessert reception, we will join at 10:00 pm for the annual night-time service, whose uplifting music and contemplative mood help us prepare for the Days of Awe.

Please join our community as we observe Selichot, a time of preparation and introspection leading into the Days of Awe. We are moving this spiritual service into the Rotunda and experimenting with new music and melodies to deepen our connections with our texts and ourselves. This is one of the most intimate and meaningful services of the year as we prepare ourselves for the Days of Awe.
