Purim and #MeToo: Exploring Domestic and Sexual Abuse in our Jewish Community Then and Now
What role do we play in helping those who have been victims of abuse? How do we recognize abuse in its more subtle and insidious forms? How can we, as individuals and as a Jewish community, strengthen our commitment to act as allies? Join Naomi Senser, chair of community outreach and education at SHALVA along with Aaron Senser, a member of Oak Park Temple, as they lead a workshop looking at the concerns of living in the #MeToo movement through the lens of the Book of Esther and Jewish teaching in the past and present. Both men and women are encouraged to take part in this important discussion.
