What: Local Rotary Club Outing Event (hosted by OPRF, Melrose/Maywood, and Cicero/Stickney/Berwyn Rotary clubs)
When: Saturday, Feb. 22nd
Time: 10am-12:30pm (Movie) & 1pm-2:30pm (Ceremony)
Where: Lake Street Theater (1022 Lake St, Oak Park, IL 60301)-followed by snacks, awards and speeches at Brookdale Oak Park (1111 Ontario, Oak Park, IL 60302)

Enjoy a private viewing of JUST MERCY which is a movie that came out this year about an African-American Attorney who did the same work as Karen Daniel did in the south in the 80’s (https://www.youtube.com/
Event and movie starts on Saturday, Feb. 22nd- 10am at Lake Street Theater. The movie is about 2.5 hrs and afterwards we will be walking over to Brookdale Oak Park (if you have to drive, the Holly Court Garage is free for 1.5 hrs).
At Brookdale Oak Park from 1pm-2:30pm snacks and drinks will be served, followed by a presentation and award ceremony honoring Karen Daniel and presenting her family with the Paul Harris Fellow Award (to learn a little about the award here is a link: https://www.rotary.org/en/
We will be hearing from Karen’s Family, her colleagues from Northwestern University’s Center of Wrongful Convictions and someone she has helped in her amazing work.
