Jewish Mysticism and the Spiritual Life with Rabbi Gerson
Uncover practical applications of Jewish mystical teachings in our own spiritual lives. Rabbi Gerson will lead us in reading, discussion, and application of textual selections from Hasidic and other Jewish mystical masters. This course is intended for all searchers, regardless of familiarity with Kabbalah, and each class is standalone - join us for one or all sessions! This week we will be studying Professor Ron Margolin's chapter "Why Do We Need the Mitzvot?" We hope all will find it enlightening both from the standpoint of traditional understandings of the mitzvot as well as the Jewish mystical take on the meaning inherent in their performance. Find the reading online here.
