Chiddush: Renewal in our Lives and in our Community
with Rabbi Weiss and Rabbi Kirzane - in person or on Zoom
This class will not meet in person, zoom only.
Join Rabbi Weiss and Rabbi Kirzane as we explore the history, tradition and tools of Chiddush, innovative renewal, from a personal and communal perspective. We will learn about the Jewish value of creative innovation and how we may apply these traditional tools in our own lives and in the life of our jewish community. The classes will be held over zoom at 7:30 on October 21, 28 and November 4.
October 21 Chiddush in Our Lives: What can renewal look like for individuals? We will use stories from our tradition as a grounding for our conversation.
October 28 Chiddush in the Community: What are the historical “renewals” that have allowed Jewish community to survive and thrive from the Babylonian Exile to today?
November 4 Chiddush at Oak Park Temple: An open conversation about the innovations that will allow our community to thrive through our present situation.
