Great Books Discussion Group:
Maimonides’ A Guide to the Perplexed
Oak Park Temple’s Great Books group is reconvening on Sundays at 4 pm on the Temple Zoom. After completing two major works of Greek philosophy by Plato and Aristotle, we have decided to shift our studies to a figure widely regarded as a bridge between Greek and Jewish philosophies: Maimonides. We will be reading Maimonides A Guide to the Perplexed, which you can find online at this location.
We are a low-key group that requires no preliminary knowledge of the subjects we’re reading, and all are welcome. If you read the Introduction and are inspired, please join us for a fun and lively discussion. We hope to see you!
