We are a Community

To safeguard the health of our community, we currently limit entry to our building to those who do not carry an elevated risk of COVID-19. Please review Oak Park Temple’s community health policies below. By affirming these policies, you agree to abide by them while at Oak Park Temple.

----

We all need to work together to keep our children, families, and staff safe during this pandemic.  We know that COVID-19 can be transmitted even when mild or no symptoms are present.  Therefore, we ask that you take even the slightest sign of illness seriously.

All individuals who are able to wear a mask are expected to wear a mask while at Oak Park Temple. Individuals from different family units (“pods”) are expected to maintain a reasonable distance from each other, generally six feet.

Individuals who are fully vaccinated are expected to adhere to relevant CDC guidelines. These can be found on the CDC website.

Individuals are expected not to enter the building if:
  • they have symptoms related to COVID-19, i.e. 100.4 fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, new loss of taste or smell, fatigue, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.
  • they have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19 (excluding people who have had COVID-19 within the past three months or who are fully vaccinated and without symptoms).
  • they have traveled to an “orange” state within the 10 days prior to their arrival at the synagogue  unless they have obtained a negative COVID-19 test result no more than 72 hours prior to arrival in Oak Park.
  • they have tested positive for COVID-19 and are within 10 days of the onset of symptoms when they plan to be at the synagogue.
