With Dr. Jonah Fleisher
Musical Guest: Marybeth Senser
Dr. Jonah Fleisher (he/him) is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist practicing full spectrum reproductive health care at UI Health (University of Illinois Chicago). He is a Complex Family Planning specialist, and focuses most of his career on caring for people needing abortion, miscarriage, and contraceptive care. He serves as the Co-Director of CARLA (Complex Abortion Regional Line for Access), a patient referral service that helps abortion-seekers efficiently and safely navigate the many obstacles to hospital-based abortion care. In this role, he has spent the last few years since the Dobbs decision developing and managing systems to assist patients to access medical care in hospitals. Dr. Fleisher has served as an advocate for reproductive health via Op-Eds, in legal cases as a witness and a signatory to amicus briefs, and in conversations with politicians and policy-makers. His research interests include access to abortion care and how to make abortion care even safer, and he is actively engaged in medical education. He is a proud member of Oak Park Temple and honored to serve on the Board.
